We are committed to maintaining and improving the health of the patients we treat and strive to provide excellence in the diagnosis, treatment and management of our patients’ medical conditions. We have multiple locations in Central Texas for your ease of access.

Please note:  If you need to change the date or time of your appointment, please call at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time to avoid a late cancellation fee.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.

Please bring the following items with you to all of your appointments:

  • Referral from your primary care physician (if applicable)
  • ID and Insurance Card
  • Any copay amount you are responsible for (if applicable)
  • A detailed list of all medications you are currently taking including dosages or medication bottles
  • A list of any special questions to discuss with your doctor

 

After-Hours Contacts

One or more physicians are on call 24 hours a day.  After hours, our on-call physician(s) can be reached by calling the Medical Exchange at (512) 458-1121.

In the case of a medical emergency, please call 911.

 

Insurance Plans and Billing

Austin Kidney Associates accepts most insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, PPO's and indemnity plans. Please check with your insurance company to verify that we are providers for your plan. If you are part of an HMO or other plan that requires a referral, please contact your primary care physician prior to your appointment. If we are not participating with your plan, please contact us to discuss the options available to you.

If you have questions or concerns regarding a bill you have received, please contact our billing office at (512) 451-5800.

 

Pharmacy and Prescription Refills

If you need a prescription refilled, please contact your pharmacy. The pharmacy will send us a fax or electronic request for your refill. Please allow 48 hours for a routine refill. If you have a prescription related question, please call our office during normal business hours.
