Telehealth Visits Extended Thru September 30th, 2025
Congress has now passed legislation to extend Medicare telehealth coverage thru September 30th. While Austin Kidney Associates continues to believe that in-person office exams provide superior care for the complex conditions of our kidney-care patients, we will continue to make telehealth visits available to patients on a case-by-case basis if pre-approved by your Austin Kidney Associates physician.
MyChart Patient Portal
On October 1, 2024, Austin Kidney Associates, P.A. (“AKA”) implemented a new electronic medical record ("EMR"), called CKD EHR by Epic. We selected CKD EHR by Epic because of its focus on kidney-care, and we are working with DaVita Physician Solutions (“DPS”) to make this EMR available to our practice.
CKD EHR by Epic uses a patient portal called MyChart and we encourage you to sign up at your earliest convenience. By signing up, you will be able to access your health information, receive important updates from your AKA physician, and communicate with our team members. Please click the MyChart icon at the top-right of our web-page to sign up. For your convenience, there is also a MyChart app that you can download to your mobile phone. When signing up with MyChart, you will need to search for the organization DaVita Physician Solutions CKD EHR, and you will then be able to select our practice.
If you have any questions about how to sign up for MyChart, please contact us at (512) 451-5800 and an AKA team member will be happy to help.
